Another householder targeted

Sometime between 14.00 and 17.00 on the 1st February an offender(s) have broken into a shed of a property on Wantage

Road, Great Shefford. The offender(s) gained entry by forcing the door and stole a number of power tools(Crime no

In order to help protect your shed consider:-

1.Positioning the garden shed as close to the house aspossible so it is visible

2.Avoid storing valuable items such as power tools, fishingtackle or golf clubs in a shed

3.Fit a strong hasp and staple. Lock the hasp over the staple with a closed shackled padlock

4.Secure shed door hinges with anti-tamper screws alsoknown as 'clutch head' screws that can be purchased from DIY

stores or the internet

5.Paint your house number or postcode onto your valuablegardening equipment. This will make them less

attractive to potential thieves
